About Shift Nutrition & Counselling
Many women come to us feeling exhausted by their relationship with food, frustrated by digestive symptoms, or overwhelmed by health concerns that impact every part of their lives.
At Shift Nutrition & Counselling, we understand that food, digestion, mental health, and emotional wellbeing are deeply connected. That's why our tiny (but mighty!) team of a dietitian and dietitian-counsellor looks beyond symptoms to understand the whole person and the factors shaping their experience.
Whether you're struggling with an eating disorder, IBS, emotional eating, menopause, PCOS, or another health concern, you'll find compassionate, evidence-based care that meets you where you are.
Our approach is grounded in intuitive eating and a weight-neutral philosophy, helping you create sustainable changes that feel realistic, supportive, and lasting.
Our Approach
We practice from a Health at Every Size® (HAES) perspective. That means we do not prescribe weight loss as a goal, and we recognize that health is influenced by many factors beyond body size. Our work is rooted in sustainable, respectful care that prioritizes your well-being—not external standards.
We are also proudly fat-positive. Bodies of all sizes deserve respect, competent care, and space to be heard without oppression or judgment.
Who We Support
We work with women across the lifespan and welcome individuals of all gender identities and expressions who feel that our space aligns with their needs. This includes cisgender women, transgender women, and gender-diverse people.
Our goal is to create a space where you feel safe, affirmed, and supported. Where your experiences are taken seriously and your identity is respected.
Our Commitment
We know that seeking support can feel vulnerable. At Shift Nutrition & Counselling, we meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Always.
We’re here to help you make sustainable shifts that honour your body, your values, and your life.
