In my FIRST episode, I answer Kaylyn’s question: “How can I learn to eat intuitively, when my body tells me not to eat at all?

Learning to eat intuitively, when the connection between the body and the mind has been severed because of dieting or a history of disordered eating requires some thoughtful steps. The first being, that you need to heal the trauma that has been involved in restricting one’s intake of food. The impact of this is what is one of the main contributors to emotional, uncontrolled or binge eating. That the body doesn’t trust that it will be fed enough or consistently.

So before you can fully tune in to the body, we often first need to take some initial steps to creating a framework so that the body can start building new connections, and begin to start sending and receiving hunger and fullness cues.
